Center Use Rental
We offer our community room to rent to groups for small gatherings! You are welcome to reach out and see the space ahead of time too. Please fill out the form below and be sure to read our agreement.
Centre LGBT+ Center Usage Policy
In keeping with the mission of Centre LGBT+, the primary use of our center is to host Centre LGBT+ events and our activities take top priority in the use of our center. If no foreseen Centre LGBT+ events are occurring and use of our center is requested, then the following guidelines will govern its use.
Centre LGBT+ may not host any partisan events advocating for a particular candidate or party, and will be careful that our events in our Center do not appear to be politically motivated.
Centre LGBT+ will have only one organization, business or private party renting the center at a time.
If an outside organization would like to use our center and their mission aligns with ours, then Centre LGBT+ may consider co-hosting the event, in which case there would be no charge. If we do not co-host the event, then the organization would be charged according to the fee schedule.
The renting party is responsible for cleaning the facility including vacuuming, wiping down all used surfaces and removing all trash and recycling. If they do not, then the renting party will be charged a cleaning fee of $100. If the carpet or furniture needs to be shampooed the renting party agrees to pay the current commercial fee for shampooing of the affected items.
The renting party must give a $100 down payment, which will be refunded promptly after the event, assuming that the center is left clean and in good order. The down payment will be used to have the office cleaned if needed.
The renting business or organization will provide a copy of the liability insurance policy that indicates that their policy will cover events held in public spaces or specifically at our Center, more than 24 hours prior to the event.
Private parties without liability insurance will sign a statement accepting financial and legal liability for what occurs at their event, for property damage and any problem arising from the event more than 24 hours prior to the event.
The renting party may use the center’s furniture, including tables, chairs, couches and desks.
The renting party will ensure that not more than 50 people attend the event.
The renting party will provide all their own supplies, including paper goods, drinks, snacks and flipcharts, if needed. The renting party may NOT use the Center’s consumable supplies.
Since there is NO KITCHEN at the center, food must be brought in/catered and no cooking may take place at the center. All leftovers must be taken out when the renter leaves.
Candles and food warming burners may NOT be used in the center.
The renter must remove all trash and recycling created by the renter’s event. There is a trash bin near the McCalister garage.
The renter and renter’s guests must use the restrooms located in the hallway.
Trained service dogs that qualify as ADA service animals are permitted in the office, but other animals are not permitted.
The renter and renter’s guests may not enter rooms with closed doors.
No tobacco, drugs or alcohol may be consumed by renting parties in the center or hallways leading into the center.
Center staff, a board member or a volunteer with the elevator code will open the Center for the renting party.
When all guests have left, the renter must lock the front doors and leave by elevator when leaving our facility when no Centre LGBT+ affiliated people are there.
When the Center is open, Center staff will ensure that Center guests do not interrupt the Renter’s event.
Center staff, board members and volunteers (who volunteer at least 2x/month) may rent the Center at half price/ 50% of the non-profit fee.
Payment is due two weeks prior to the scheduled event. If an organizer requests a space rental within less than a two week period, an exception to the timeline may be made on a case by case basis pending space availability.
Cancellations are required within 48 hours before the event, and the deposit will be refunded. If canceled less than 48 hours before the event, Centre LGBT+ will deduct the cost of the rental from the security deposit, up to $100 dollars, and refund any remainder.
